The Equipment Loan Library

at Houston Hospice Society 

is available to support functioning and enhance quality of life during end of life care at home. 

The items available for loan include hospital beds with specialized mattresses, wheelchairs, walkers, commodes, bath stools and lifts.  Additional volunteer training allows HHS to offer grief and bereavement support. Respite services for palliative clients who are alone, or to relieve strain on caregivers, is also available.

Other Services

  1. Grief and Bereavement Support: Trained HHS volunteers provide grief and bereavement support for individuals and their families in a supportive and confidential environment.  

  2. Respite Services: Trained HHS volunteers provide respite services in order to support caregivers, or to ensure individuals with limited supports are not alone during end of life.

Volunteer

Houston Hospice Society is a volunteer-based organization, that operates entirely by donations and grants, with a current board of 8 directors and 20+ members and volunteers.
